Does It Taste Like Chicken???

Today when Clint went to PetCo to get cat food he decided to get the dogs new dog bones. We buy them NylaBones because they are made of Nylon and take forever for them to chew through. Our problem is that we have a nice big and calm Black Lab and an obnoxious little Pomeranian - Unfortunately, the Pomeranian continually is trying to steal the Lab's bone. So, Clint thought by buying a "multi pack" that the dogs would have plenty to choose from. In addition, he bought them FLAVORED! So before giving the dogs the bones, Clint and Joe decided to see if they really did taste like "Chicken" and "Liver".

Survey says......No ~ they don't taste like chicken or liver!

Last Baseball Tournament

Joe's 1st baseball season with the 10 Year Old Raptor team is officially over. (until Try-outs again in August) and it is a bitter sweet moment for all of us. We LOVE baseball and enjoy watching Joe play but it is a lot of work and we are due for a little bit of time off. With practices at least 3 times a week and games 2 times a week and weekend tournaments we are whipped!

Joe's last tournament was this past weekend and they won! They were in the Colorado Silver Bracket Championship tournament. Here is a picture of them after their last game. Joe is on the back row - 2nd from the right - he has black smeared under his eyes. (After playing games back to back and being hot and sweaty most of it rubbed off.)

June Camping Trip

We had a ten day stretch between baseball games and Joe's coach gave us the entire time off from practice too ~ We decided to take advantage of our limited free time and took a family camping trip.

Clint did lots of research looking for the perfect spot and his first choice would have been Pelton Creek. Unfortunately, Pelton Creek is currently closed (they are cutting some trees down) so we ended up going to 6 Mile Gap.

It was a great spot ~ The only bad part was that we didn't catch any fish! We were on the Platt River and it has a strong current which is best for fly fishing ~ we tried MANY times to catch fish and didn't have any luck. See our collage below to witness the fun!

First Golf Game this Summer

Today Clint, Omi and I went to the Airport Golf Course and played our fist game so far this summer. We enjoyed ourselves and had a great time!

For Mother's Day Clint gave me 5 golf lessons, and I need them! I have only had time to get one lesson in but it has already made a difference on how I drive the ball! After 4 more ~ Tiger had better watch out!!!

Wyoming Tornado Made the Weather Channel

I would say over the past two weeks it has rained 13 out of the 14 days. We have had the wettest spring of all time. Anyone who has visited or lived in Wyoming knows that during summer, every afternoon the clouds build up in the West near the mountains and move over Cheyenne. Approx. a week ago there was a tornado in Goshen County, Wyoming which was approx. 40 miles from Cheyenne (thankfully) but the tornado made history. The weather channel taped the tornado from inception through the end and they now have a show on the weather channel that shows the whole thing. The coolest part is that at one point you can actually see inside of the tornado, it is AMAZING.

Schools Out For Summer!

As busy as we have been I haven't had much time to get any postings in but I thought I had better let everyone know that we now have two 6th graders (this will be their last year in elementary school) and one third grader. It is hard to believe that the three of them are so grown up and time really flies. Both Joe and Hailey made Honor Roll their last semester and Alexis did great too. (They really don't have an honor roll until 4th grade) Alexis also received perfect attendance for the ENTIRE YEAR!
