All City Orchestra

Joe was selected to play in the "All City Orchestra" concert a few weeks ago. Each elementary school orchestra teacher, Jr. High and Sr. High orchestra teachers select their best orchestra students to perform. Then all of the kids meet at one location and play songs for a huge audience.

Joe has been playing the bass all year and that thing is bigger than he is! (I am guessing that is why he likes it so much!)

The pictures from the event will show exactly how "big" this event was. Joe is in the brown striped shirt - good luck finding him in the pictures!

Little Things In Life

It's funny when you look back at the little things that you used to do as a child thatcreated some great memories. I remember riding my bike all summer long - it was amazingthe characters I turned in to while doing that.

One thing that Clint and I do with the kids is every Friday we have a "Family Pizza and Movie Night" The kids have come to love our Family Friday's and look forward to it every week. At times, we will let the girls sleep downstairs on the fold out bed and Joe sleeps on the other side of the couch. One Friday evening we allowed them to sleep downstairs and we had to get a picture of Hailey and Alexis sleeping on the couch - it is too cute - they were sleeping the exact same way.

Thank goodness for the little things in life that make the best memories!

Little Miss Laramie County Beauty

Today was the Little Miss Wyoming pageant for Laramie County. Alexis was extremely excited to compete. We woke up at 6am this morning to fix her hair so she could look her best.

She won a few different categories:

Prettiest Hair

Most Photogenic

but the best of all is Laramie County Little Beauty!

There events were: an interview, modeling casual wear, Personality, Talent contest and Party Dress.

Clint's New Truck

Clint has been wanting to purchase a new truck for years ......but financially we were not ready. Two weeks ago he was able to buy an 2007 Ford F150 Crew Cab. He is in Hog Heaven!

Boy Scout Blue and Gold Banquet

Joe attended his final "Cub" Scout Blue and Gold Banquet 2 weeks ago. Every year they have a silent cake auction to raise money for the scouts. Above is a picture of Joe with his cake!

Celina's Birthday

Feb. 20th was my Goddaughter Celina's 10th Birthday ~ She stayed the night at our house and spent the day with us on President's Day. We surprised her with a cake and presents a few days early. Joe and Alexis spend the night with her on Friday the 20th!

Snow Storm

A few weeks ago we had a nice snow storm come through. Clint took some pictures to show how much snow we received. The night before the kids prayed (on their hands and knees) that they wouldn't have to go to school the next day. Oddly enough, we didn't have any wind so they ended up having school. Any other time the wind would have been whipping but since it didn't no one had an extra day off!
