Tonight was Alexis first practice as a member of Team 4 in gymnastics. She was pretty nervous but I think most of it is excitement.
She has worked so hard in gymnastics and it is finally paying off. She moved up today and her practices are much more often and intense. We will see an even more amazing transformation now that she has moved up.

Alexis' Sad News
Alexis' hamster, Crystal, died on Sunday. Poor Alexis has been preparing for this for weeks ~ The hamster has been sick for some time and Clint and I think it had cancer. She actually lived much longer than he and I thought she would.
Alexis was very strong and handled the whole ordeal like a champ. Joe and Hailey were such supporters for Alexis leading up to this and were even more sweet when it finally happened.

Good News for Joe!
Joe finally has had all of the stitches in his hand removed. The incision looks great. He no longer has to wear the brace unless he is playing basketball at school. He still isn't able to play baseball 100%yet. Last night at practice he was able to bat but not catch. Hopefully on the 16th he will get released and be able to do all his little heart desires. He has done extremely well in the whole process. Hang in there Joe! A few more days to go!

Please forgive me as it has taken so long to get updates on the blog.
The new year has started with a bang and we are as busy as usual.
Above are pictures of us on New Years Eve! We went to Omi and Opasan's and
enjoyed the evening with them and Greg's family. It was a great time. The kids had
more than enough energy to stay up until midnight. After the new year rang in they
lit fireworks and we were home and in bed by 1. Clint and I laughed because years ago
we could get away with celebrating midnight on the East coast and have the kids in bed
at 10. They are too smart for that now and we have to stay up until midnight!

Merry Christmas

Alexis was up at 5am Christmas morning - we made her stay in bed until
7:15 (and she was in our bed and didn't go back to sleep)
I picked up my Grandmother Dorothy so she could see Joe and Alexis open
their presents. We made a big breakfast and enjoyed each other's company. After
a short nap for Alexis and me, we went over to Omi & Opasan's to enjoy the rest of the
day. The kids opened their gifts over there, we played games, and had an amazing
dinner. It was a good time had by all.

enjoy the 2nd part of the day. We went to Omi & Opasan's at 3 and had a great time.
Ayanna, Hailey and Keelan opened their gifts after dinner. Hailey brought her guitar and played
a few Christmas tunes for us to enjoy. We had a great time.
