Bible School Animals!

This week the First United Methodist Church held its annual Summer Vacation Bible School session. Joe and Alexis have attended 3 years in a row now and have enjoyed it every year. This years theme is "Surfing Through The Scriptures". (it is a Beach Party theme)

They have made all sorts of neat things to bring home; An ocean in a 2 liter soda bottle (they made it themselves), pictures of themselves in hand crafted beach frames, beach looking little buckets that can hold things...just to name a few.

Someone with LOTS of talent has been painting faces each day during the time that they are there. On Tuesday Joe came home looking like a scary Tiger and on Wednesday when I picked them up Alexis was all decked out like a Lioness too! So, I took some pictures of them to share with you. They are not the best quality because I took them with my cell phone.

One last note....We were excited that Hailey went all week to Bible School too. This was her first year attending the Summer Bible School with the Church. She has really enjoyed getting involved in Church and seems to really feel good about the things that she is learning. Unfortunatly, I was unable to get any pictures of her with her face painted because my phone was in the car each day and she did not ride with me after the sessions.

The Life of a Bird Dog

Our "mixed" Black Lab loves nothing more than bird watching all day! Believe it or not....I even bought a bird feeder for him ~ even more strange....he loves to eat the bird food that drops out of the feeder onto the ground. I have decided that he is trying to become a bird!

Summer Picnic

Yesterday was my works summer picnic. It was held at the Wyoming Hereford Ranch. The kids had a great time playing in the jumping castles but enjoyed eating cotton candy and dancing even more.

*Although it was a good time had by all - Our hearts were heavy knowing that the Hales/Bird Family lost their Daughter Angie Bird that early afternoon and we were all gathered down the hill from their home having a fun time. Our prayers are with them during this difficult time.

Baseball Fans

Omi and Opasan were able to go and watch Joe play today!

Play Ball

Joe had a baseball game today. He is on the AAA Marlins team and is a great player.
His most favorite positions are catcher and pitcher. This is the first year he has had an opportunity to pitch and he enjoys it. I don't think he ever realized how hard it is!

WeBeLos II

Joe earned his badges today for his WeBeLos I projects completed during the year. He is officially a WeBeLos II.

They had a bowling party to celebrate!

Clint is Baptized

Today was an AMAZING day! Clint was Baptized!

It was such a beautiful and wonderful moment. We also became members of the First United Methodist Church of Cheyenne.
