Gymnastics Update

Alexis dislocated her elbow at the beginning of October when she fell off the balance beam doing a cartwheel. The Doctor anticipated her to be out of gymnastics until the end of December. She had only make it to two competitions as a level 5 gymnast before getting hurt. But, she has been continuing to go to the gym a few nights a week to stretch and condition. She went this evening without her brace on! Don't get worried or excited yet though as she was not able to use her arm yet like normal. Be we are making progress and she is so ready to be back to the gym tumbling like normal. I am trying to get the blog to upload some video so you can see her in action before she got hurt.

Halloween 2011

This Halloween we decided to make our front yard a Spooky Trick or Treating area!
We made a Zombie Coffin, a Dangerous Cage and even had a Graveyard! We had spooky music playing and even bought a fogger machine to fancy things up. Oh, and lets not forget the strobe light!

Alexis went trick or treating with her friends but first did some scaring in the cage! (See the pic. below)
Joe was in the Zombie Coffin - He would pop out and scare the kids coming up the drive way.
Hailey and her friend Bethany were zombies infesting our graveyard.
Clint also dressed up in a Gilly suit and hid in the yard for a scary good time!

Where do I begin.....

Wow - I looked back and it has been since Sunday April 3rd since I have posted anything on the Blog. 7 whole months!

It has been a long few months for our family. On Wednesday April 6th my Grandma was taken to the emergency room for a large bump on her head. Unfortunately, It was cancer and after they did a few additional tests they found that she had cancer all throughout her body. She was put in Hospice on Thursday the 7th and passed away peacefully on Monday April 11th.

Now that Thanksgiving is closing in the Holiday festivities have begun around us but as everyone knows, after losing family members, the holiday's bring bitter sweet feelings. I sure miss my sweet grandmother Dorothy. I am sure she and my Mom are both looking down on Clint, Myself and the kids taking part in our everyday fun!

Clint & Mel's Date Night

Clint and I have been so busy lately. We have been traveling for work, I went with Joe to Arizona for baseball, and between taking the kids to school and their sports we have no time to relax and enjoy one another. While Clint was in Texas for work I decided to surprise him with Rockies tickets for the 2nd game of the season. We had a fabulous time and needed the time to enjoy each other.
